AIT Doors: The Door Company with Unmatched Strength and Durability
When it comes to doors, AIT Doors is a company that stands out from the competition. They have developed a reputation for providing high-quality, durable doors that can withstand the test of time.
One of the key points that makes AIT Doors unique is their ability to fabricate larger more durable doors than other manufacturers. Due to their high level of structural integrity, coupled with the materials and assembly techniques they use, AIT Doors can create larger doors that
are stronger and more durable than doors produced by other manufacturers.
Another point that sets AIT Doors apart is their use of proprietary Opposing Grain Cross-Laminated (OGXL.). Unlike other manufacturers who use veneers or skins, AIT Doors does not use these materials, which can delaminate, bubble, and come apart over time. OGXL prevents
warping, twisting, and splitting, which are common issues with other doors. All stiles, rails, and panels at AIT Doors are constructed with OGXL, and all stiles and rails are joined together by a mortise and tenon joint, which is the strongest and most reliable method for joining two pieces of wood together.
All AIT Door panels have sealed end grain, further enhancing the door's
durability. AIT Doors uses mortise and tenon construction on all stiles and rails, unlike other manufacturers who use cope and stick with dowelled construction. Our mortise and tenon construction creates
a larger adhesive surface for additional strength and produces less movement and separation.
All doors at AIT Doors are custom-made, and there is never an issue with structural integrity. In addition to their use of mortise and tenon construction, AIT Door panels and plank doors use a mortise and spline between each piece of wood for added strength and to prevent splitting,
separations, and warping.
AIT Doors uses a superior adhesive compared to other door manufacturers. Our industrial strength marine 2-part catalytic resin-based adhesive is mixed with a fiber additive to fill any
voids between surfaces, providing strength, durability, and waterproofness. This adhesive creates a very strong mechanical and chemical bond, with no evaporation or shrinkage, resulting in complete waterproofing. Unlike Type 1 glue, which has a 48% water content, our adhesive far exceeds all water-based and Type 1 glue. Type 1 glue is commonly used by other door manufacturers, but it has a low-strength adhesive due to its drying process by evaporation and absorption. This process leaves a spider web of voids caused by the liquid's absorption into the wood, also known as crystallization. Instead, AIT Doors takes a different approach with our proprietary method of using an industrial-strength marine 2-part catalytic resin.
Our adhesive dries chemically, leaving no physical voids and
surpassing the strength and durability of all commonly used water-based Type 1 glues. AIT Doors is a door company that stands out in the industry for its unmatched strength and durability. The use of proprietary Opposing Grain Cross Laminated (OGXL) solid wood, mortise and tenon construction, and industrial strength marine 2-part catalytic resin-based adhesive with fiber added make their doors far superior to those produced by other manufacturers. If you are in the market for high-quality, durable doors, AIT Doors is the company to trust. There is a reason we can produce the largest doors on the market.
